Ashleah England, born and raised in Marshall Mo, began training in dance with Broadway Bound Dance Studio. Here, she danced competitively and recreationally for 15 years, under the direction of her mentor Torey Spitzig. At age 14 she began teaching and choreographing various styles at a recreational level. At age 17 she was given the opportunity to choreograph competitively for students at her studio. During her time with Broadway Bound Dance Studio she was given the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Jacln Royal, Blake McGrath, Mia Michaels, Lauren Adams, Peter Pinnock, and many more. After graduating highschool in 2018, she began studying at the University of Missouri - Kansas City and was accepted into the Conservatory’s Dance Department under the direction of Deanna Hiett, Gary Abbot, Ronald Tice, Michael Blake, Karen Brown, Caroline Dahm, Tobin James and Tempe Ostergren. While attending UMKC she was given the opportunity to work with various artists such as; Kevin Iega Jeff, Cleo Parker Robinson, Gary Abott, Ronald Tice, Christopher Huggins, Ray Mercer, Christian Denice, Caroline Dahm, Jae Man Joo, and others. Outside of UMKC, she has been given the privilege to work alongside Wylliams Henry Dance Company, performances with the Charlotte Street Foundation, Kinfigure Kollective, and various choreographers (Ali Pleger, Nikolas Bermea, Vickie Roan, Maycee Steele, Katie McClusky, etc.) Ashleah graduated from UMKC’s Conservatory Dance Program in May of 2022, receiving her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in ballet and modern. Currently she is based in Kansas City Mo, preparing for various performance opportunities with choreographers within the KC area and teaching along the way.
